Upon arrival at Hotel Oosterschelde, we were charmed by the peaceful surroundings and the warm welcome from the owners. Despite a slight hiccup during check-in, where room allocation seemed chaotic, we eventually settled into a comfortable room with a beautiful view. The hotel's location on Oosterschelde water makes it a perfect retreat for those seeking tranquility.The on-site restaurant, Restaurant 't Veerhuis, impressed us with its delicious seafood dishes, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Our son enjoyed a wonderfully generous child portion of steak, a pleasant surprise for us all. The breakfast offered a good selection, although we missed having "Viennoiserie" as an option.The hotel's amenities, including complimentary Wi-Fi, free parking, and access to various activities like golfing and snorkeling, added to our delightful stay. The surrounding area, with quaint villages to explore and the Grevelingen beach nearby offering water sports, provided ample opportunities for relaxation and adventure.Hotel Oosterschelde is a hidden gem for those seeking a peaceful getaway by the sea, just a short drive away from vibrant cities like Rotterdam and Antwerp.
